Atiku Raises Alarm Over Alleged Plot to Exclude ADC from 2027 Elections

Former Vice President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has alleged that there are ongoing efforts by unnamed forces within the ruling establishment to prevent the ADC from participating in Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

In a statement released on Monday, Atiku warned that any attempt to block opposition participation would threaten democratic principles and undermine Nigerians’ right to freely choose their leaders.

The statement, issued through his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, claimed that there was “credible information” suggesting political and legal strategies were being coordinated against the opposition party.
