Anambra Coordinator Praises Tinubu’s Policies, Says Nigeria Making Progress

A coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) in Anambra South Senatorial District, Joseph Ugboaja, has expressed confidence in the leadership of Bola Tinubu, stating that Nigeria is moving in the right direction despite ongoing challenges. He made the remarks during the inauguration of the RHA chapter in Orumba North Local Government Area on April 25, 2026.

Speaking at the event held in Oko community, Ugboaja, who also serves as Chief Medical Director of the Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital in Nnewi, highlighted what he described as key achievements of the federal government across several sectors.

According to him, the administration has made measurable progress in infrastructure development, economic reforms, healthcare delivery, and education. He cited ongoing road construction and rehabilitation projects nationwide as evidence of the government’s commitment to improving connectivity and boosting economic activity.

Ugboaja also pointed to developments within the health sector, particularly improvements in infrastructure and workforce capacity at the teaching hospital he oversees. He noted that such advancements reflect broader federal efforts to strengthen healthcare systems across the country.

In the education sector, he referenced the introduction of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), describing it as a significant initiative designed to provide interest-free loans to students. He argued that the programme would enhance access to higher education and reduce financial barriers for many families.

“The president has set a pace that is putting Nigeria in the right direction for economic and social emancipation,” Ugboaja said. “The journey to Nigeria’s greatness may be daunting, but there are clear indications that the country is on course.”

He also used the occasion to urge residents and party supporters in Orumba North to rally behind the current administration and support its future political ambitions, including the 2027 general elections. He tasked newly inaugurated RHA executives with mobilising grassroots support and promoting the administration’s policies at the community level.

Also speaking at the event, the local RHA coordinator, Handel Okoli, echoed similar sentiments. He attributed ongoing development in parts of Anambra State, particularly within Orumba North, to the support of the federal government and ongoing national policies.

The remarks come at a time when Nigeria continues to navigate economic reforms, inflationary pressures, and public debate over government policies. Support groups like the Renewed Hope Ambassadors play a role in shaping public perception and mobilising political backing, especially at the grassroots level.

Statements such as Ugboaja’s reflect ongoing efforts by political allies and affiliated organisations to build confidence in the administration’s agenda. They also signal early positioning ahead of the 2027 elections, where performance narratives and public sentiment are likely to influence voter decisions.

Additionally, the mention of initiatives like infrastructure projects and student loan schemes highlights key policy areas the government is promoting as indicators of progress. These sectors—transport, health, and education—are critical to long-term national development and often serve as benchmarks for evaluating governance.

In regions like Anambra, where political affiliations can be diverse, endorsements from local figures and organisations may contribute to expanding political influence and strengthening grassroots engagement.

The endorsement of President Bola Tinubu’s leadership by the Anambra Renewed Hope Ambassadors coordinator underscores ongoing efforts to highlight government achievements and build public support. While challenges remain, proponents of the administration argue that current policies are laying the foundation for long-term growth and stability. As political activities gradually intensify ahead of future elections, such expressions of support are likely to continue shaping the national conversation.
