‎US and Iran take Steps to Stop Lebanon war and Strait of Hormuz tensions.

‎Reports says‎ previous negotiations looked unstable after Trump's comments angered the Iranian delegation and stalled talks.

‎Recently concluded talks between the US and Iran were “positive and constructive” according to mediators Qatar and Pakistan.

‎Mediators say a High Level Committee to oversee mediation and a line of communication for the Strait of Hormuz are being set up and technical talks will continue this week in Switzerland.

‎Peace talks had previously stalled when President Donald Trump angered Iran’s top negotiator by threatening the Tehran delegation.

‎Trump told journalists that US could resume bombing Iran and “take over” the Strait of Hormuz if a deal is not reached.

‎According to the mediators, US and Iran have agreed to create a de-confliction cell,facilitated by Qatar and Pakistan to ensure the end of military operations in Lebanon.

‎The Fight between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah has been a key obstacle to reaching deal. With Tehran insisting that deadly Israeli strikes must stop.
