Though the details of the incident are still sketchy, the state Police Commissioner, CP Ikioye Orutugu said the suspects had just been arrested, and that further investigation would reveal the details of their operations.

Orutugu said to journalists, “Don’t mind, details will be revealed to you soon after we conclude our investigations, as they have just been arrested.

From report the principal suspect, a private driver of the Bishop, whose name was not revealed, connived with some kidnappers to dispossess the clergyman of his Toyota Landcruiser SUV, but things went awry and the clergyman was killed in the process, while his vehicle was stolen.

Orutugu said: “They brought the vehicle into Anambra to sell it, and the man you see with him was the one who wanted to buy the vehicle, but in the process, they were arrested.”

Journalists were shielded from speaking with the suspects by police operatives who insisted that investigation was still ongoing.
