The invention never disappeared.
The world finally caught up.
2. The Tablet Computer
In 1993, Apple introduced the Newton MessagePad, a handheld computer that could take notes, recognize handwriting, and organize personal information.
It was an ambitious vision.
It was also a commercial disappointment.
